Godspeed

Come on baby,
Come on honey now you know that it’s true:
Well I never, I never met a girl like you.
If I told you,
If I told you would you even believe?
I got nothing,
There’s nothing hidden up my sleeve
Even in my wildest dreams
I never thought I’d find you hidden in between
The darkness and the Light inside of me.
Every now and then I see you smile,
I hear you laughing like a little child,
So come on honey,
Come on home and see.
Godspeed your love,
Speed your love to me!
Godspeed your love,
Speed your love to me!
Come on baby,
Come on honey now you know that it’s true:
Well I never, no I never loved a Soul like you.
Let me hold you, Let me hold you.
Would you even receive my love?
Well there’s nothing,
There’s nothing hidden up my sleeve.

Paradise Found
03:42
|
|||
Laying in a hammock on the northern shore,
Right in Hanalei Bay,
Wondering how I ever got this far,
How I ever found my way.
Softly serenading underneath the stars
A million twinkling eyes,
Glistening from afar.
You and I could ride a million waves around the sun,
A million years or more, until this ride is done.
Paradise is found each time we open up our eyes
And see a rainbow reach across the sky.
On the island of Kauai the sun arises;
Streams of golden light
Are piercing through my eyes -
They heal my wounded sight.
I trace its movement across the sky
‘Til the setting sun ignites the clouds
With lavender and amber fire.
You and I could ride a million waves around the sun,
A million years or more, until this ride is done.
Paradise is found each time we open up our eyes
And see a rainbow reach across the sky.
The Spirit of Hawai’i is alive and well
In the river of the mountains green.
The sacred music of her heart is felt,
Faces of the ancient ones are seen.
To the goddess of the fire and rain,
I sing Aloha and Mahalo too;
In thanks I sing to you
You and I could ride a million waves around the sun,
A million years or more, until this ride is done.
Paradise is found each time we open up our eyes
And see a rainbow reach across the sky.

Hummingbird
05:05

As I was sitting in my garden
A hummingbird flew to me
And she whispered in my ear.
She had the voice of an angel
And I knew she was a spirit
'Cause her beauty made it clear.
Her breath of sweetness drifted to me
And the words she spoke rang through me,
Marinating in my mind.
She had come for just a moment
To remind me of the splendour
Of a love that is Divine.
I tasted of her sweet forgiveness,
The essence of the love she gave to me.
I was replenished by her soothing song -
Her tender voice still resonates in me
I fell into a peaceful slumber
And my dreams were full of wonder,
Flying through a painted sky.
I had wings of silk as feathers,
Soaring over stormy weather,
Winds of peace carrying me high.
She was flying south for winter
To the forests of the tropics
In the southern hemisphere.
She said we'd meet again one morning,
Crossing paths without a warning,
When I sailed the ocean clear.
A thousand hummingbirds have found me -
Their grace and love surround me,
Pollinating in my soul.
As I weave through many gardens,
I am guided by the music -
It follows everywhere I go.
